Puro Caos

No tiene ni ton ni son.
Es puro caos.
¿Cómo imaginas la furia?
¿Qué color tiene la alegría?
Puro caos.
Viento chillante se mete en mi alcoba,
me alborota el cabello empolvado de historia.
Colores tenues y... Silencio.
Fragmentos de un sueño que se obstina en ser memoria
No tengo ni ton ni son
Soy puro caos.

SOPA: Another grillet to communication.

This is what happens in a period of 24 hours in Internet. It has very, very revealing data. Makes me think, and should make everybody think. We are in the realms of the enhanced human era.

This post is about the SOPA. I will always ALWAYS fight for the social function of the Internet. With regulations like SOPA we sacrifice Internet's democracy. Really think about it, the Internet is NOW the only place where democracy actually works. Why? Because the information available for the world's consumption, without restrictions. For example, This image was taken from the online Argentinian paper: "La Nación" It is copyrighted but I can share it here, for illustration reasons, because I care about the content of this blog and if you want to look into the source is available because I put a link to it. That's what honest people do. And that's what most of us netizens do.

Yes, copyright is something to be protected, but implementing this regulation won't end the problem of Piracy. Has any current regulation ended the problem of Narcotraffic? And there are perfectly good examples of people that sells content online and earns a good amount of money for it.  My hyphotesis of what's happening after a proper analysis of the situation is this one: Some BIG corporations want to do the things the way they've been doing it for decades, they REFUSE to change their way of mind. Also they are used to make money out of somebody else's talent, which is not necessarily a bad thing since they put into market what that artist do. And have refused to stop seeing the Internet as the enemy and make an intellecutal effort to find a way to see it as a truly loyal friend. The Internet also gave the artists the power put their material into the market. The best example of this is the American comedian Louis C.K. analyzed here: http://bit.ly/yb8mGv

Well this is just a post with the intention to make you think about it. A grillet on the Internet is NOT a real long term solution for the Piracy issue AND could result in what George Orwell describes in his novel 1984 as the "Telescreen". Do we want this particular fantasy become real? I definitely not. We gotta get more creative for solving today's society problems. Agree?
